MBABANE – Dr Mandlenkhosi Dlamini was yesterday unveiled as the new SEDCO Eswatini Chairman of the Board.
He was unveiled by the Minister of Commerce, Industry and Trade, Manqoba Khumalo, during the official launch of the 17th edition of the Entrepreneur of the Year Awards (EYA) at the Hilton Garden Inn.
In an interview with this publication, Dlamini said there are a lot of activities they intend to partake in this financial year, especially those that involve upscale businesses.
He emphasised that Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) were the ‘backbone’ of the economy, of Eswatini, therefore they needed to be catered for.
“With the challenge of unemployment, we will tap into the skills of the youth to enable them to create their own employment. We also need to facilitate the creation of skills among the youth so that they can navigate the business sector with knowledge,” he said.
The chairman added that he was excited about his new role and was looking forward to working with SEDCO Eswatini and other stakeholders.
